The below installation points apply to both PVC‑U and PVC‑M water supply pipes.
PVC Water Supply Pipe Installation Key Points
Cutting & Preparation: Cut squarely with PVC cutter or fine‑tooth saw. Remove burrs and chamfer pipe end for good sealing.
Jointing: Small‑size pipes use solvent cement. Clean surfaces, apply special PVC cement, insert with 1/4 turn twist, hold in place, wait for full curing before pressure test. Large‑diameter pipes adopt rubber‑ring push‑fit joint, ensure seal ring well‑seated.
Buried Laying: Lay sand bedding in trench, keep away from sharp stones. Backfill with fine sand first to protect pipes. Keep proper burial depth against frost and external load.
Support & Thermal Compensation: Fit pipe clamps at required intervals, add supports at elbows and tees. Install expansion joints for long pipelines to absorb thermal expansion‑contraction.
Pressure Test & Flushing: Carry out hydrostatic test after installation. Flush pipeline thoroughly before commissioning.
Handling & Storage: Handle pipes gently, no dropping. Avoid long‑term direct sunlight exposure during storage.
